Vehicle Pledge Registry (VPR) — Terms of Use
VPR is an independent private vehicle-interest information platform and a member of Diranor Group. It is not presented as a government or statutory registry.
Purpose
VPR enables users to search for vehicle interests recorded on VPR and enables authorised administrators to record submitted interests.
Meaning of a VPR Record
Recording an interest on VPR does not by itself create, perfect, validate or determine the legal priority of a security interest.
Search Results
“No Interest Recorded on VPR” means VPR did not identify an applicable interest in its own database at the date and time of search. It does not mean the vehicle is necessarily free from every pledge, encumbrance, statutory registration, ownership dispute or third-party claim.
Order of VPR Registration
Where multiple interests appear, their order reflects when each was recorded on VPR and does not determine legal priority between parties.
Submitted Information
The party requesting an interest record is responsible for the accuracy and lawful basis of information supplied. VPR may request evidence, reject a submission, suspend a record or investigate a dispute.
Verification
Users should conduct additional due diligence appropriate to their transaction, including enquiries with owners, lenders and relevant statutory authorities.
Reports
A VPR Vehicle Interest Search Report records the VPR search result at a particular date and time. It is an information report and is not proof of ownership or statutory perfection or priority.
Misuse
Users must not knowingly submit false information, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with VPR systems or use VPR information unlawfully.
Corrections
Affected parties may request review or correction of a VPR record.
